Frederik Garcia is a pseudonym, which indicates a pan-European character. Nordic and Mediterranean.
A symbol of the cosmopolitan Barcelona where he lives. Behind the character are Riccardo Nannini (30) and Anna Moran (27), Italian and Spanish, designer and visual artist. Transferred to Barcelona almost by chance, after years spent in Milan and London.
They use white t-shirts as support for good reasons: They can be used as a sheet of paper or canvas for painting, offering many of the features needed to cover the needs of plastic art. And also, they are a way of producing art works that may be distributed without pretension, at a fair price away from the dynamics of the art market.
The shirts are printed in a totally traditional way: Riccardo and Anna produce the screens, print without the aid of machines, sew labels and pack each T-Shirt themselves. Through processes learned in a self-study.
