Patrick Braun is a fashion designer who graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld. He lives and works in Berlin since 2010.
In his final thesis collection, Patrick brought together drawings and clothes, as well as fashion and arts. The prints of this collection are 1950s family photos, turned into curiously vivid illustrations with pencils, ball pens, water color pens, fine liner and ink. The cuts fit the 50s theme: trench coats, a Marlon Brando type motorcycle jacket and a James Dean style t-shirt.
The result: nine illustrations on stretchers, that may also be worn. Or, vice versa, nine pieces of clothing, that can also be put on a wall as a piece of art. The clothes hold the stretchers with the drawings, so they can be put on walls and at the same time, be ready-to-wear fashion.
