If you haven’t heard about this up-and-coming new talent, it’s about time! Lennart Wronkowitz is 16 years old, and we’re impressed by the power he puts into pursuing his dream.
In the morning, Lennart Wronkowitz goes to school in a small German town. In the afternoon, he spends his time designing fashion in his own little studio. He dreams of a career as a fashion designer, he aims for international success and after graduating from school, he wants to study fashion design at Esmod in Berlin.
Lennart surely is one of the youngest new designers in the German fashion industry. He founded his own label called Wronkowitz – with a special approval for minors, of course. When his dad, a doctor, offered Lennart to use a vacant room in his doctor’s practise, he established his studio in there. He sells his clothes through his own online store.
Everything started at the age of 11, when he cut out models from fashion catalogues. When he was 12, he knew he would become a designer. At the age of 14, Lennart learned how to sew and created clothes from his own designs. Now, being 16 years old, he creates collections for his own label.
Clothes by „Wronkowitz“ are flashy and colorful. Lennart follows the gaudy t-shirt fashion from the 80s and knows no modesty. Striking colors and flashes catch the eye. He applies manga-style prints to his shirts, tailors his own creations and works with wholesale shirts and sweaters, turning them into unique design pieces by mixing them up.
His current collection was shot in a club. The models were Lennart’s classmates Valeria and Dana, and they staged a disco homicide: Two women rob a man and run away with a briefcase full of money. One of them dies through her own greed. The clothes are flashy as always, and t-shirts with sequins give the collection a glamorous touch. Everything has a cool feeling to it, fitting the Wronkowitz credo: „unique.street.couture“.
